Normative Ethics & Law Lab

Welcome to the Normative Ethics and Law Lab! Here at NELL, we study lay ethics, in service of the question: why and to whom do people direct morally "permissible" harm?

The Lab is directed by Dr. Susan Yamamoto, who is an Assistant Professor at Campion College at the University of Regina. She is also an Adjunct Research Professor at Ottawa's Carleton University and a Research Associate with the Maeder Legal Decision-Making Lab.

Dr. Yamamoto will be supervising Masters and Honours students for the 2022/2023 academic year, but is not accepting PhD students at this time. The Lab is also always looking for volunteers. Please contact Dr. Yamamoto directly for more information.
